Don't Contest for Second Term-Cleric to President

Image
President Ahmed Tinubu has been advised not to run for a second term in office in 2027 as Nigeria President. The President and Founder of Clear Revelation Ministry, Apostle Jeremiah Oluwarotimi Adeyeye gave this advice on Wednesday during a Press Conference at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo state council, Ibadan, Nigeria. ''1) God's message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also some advice to him, God a showed me that he did not finish in office, if he is lucky to finish this tenure as God revealed, he should not clamor to contest for a second term because God's word always stands. He should go back home to atone for all what he has done and seek the face of the almighty God, but if he insists on going for a second term, after luckily finishing this term, that means that what he luckily escaped in his first term in office will surely happen during the second term. God's word always stands.'' Apostle Adeyeye stated.  Similarly, the man of God al...

Laminated Papers As National Identity Cards

Image
On Wednesday, 28 September 2011, the Federal Executive Council approved N30.066 billion for the accelerated implementation of the ‘back-end’ component of the National Identity Management System (NIMS). The delivery date of the NIMS was December 2013. It should be noted that the National Identity Management Commission(NIMC) was to receive a sum of N23.074 billion, in the last quarter of 2011, for the procurement of the redesigned multi-application National Identity Card. Before this time, the National Identity Card Scheme executed by SAGEM was a failure. The NIMC Act №23 of 2007 mandated the NIMC to establish a reliable, secure and ‘scalable’ identity management system that makes use of advanced Bio-metrics technologies to identify every individual in Nigeria in unique ways. Despite the colossal amount the government has expended on the project, most Nigerians who have registered have only laminated papers to present where necessary. Although the choice of brand of papers serves t...

Rescue the People from Land-grabbers-NLC chairman to Oyo Governor

Image
The chairman of the Nigeria Labor Congress in Oyo state, Comrade Kayode Martins, has called on the state Governor to urgently come to the rescue of helpless residents who are at the mercy of land-grabbers. Comrade Martins made this call on Wednesday during the celebration of International Workers' Day in Ibadan, Nigeria. ''The Oyo state Governor should save the people of Oyo state from land grabbers. The activities of the land grabbers have become unbearable for the people,'' the NLC chairman disclosed. Similarly, the chairman of the state council of the Trade Union Congress(TUC), Comrade Bosun Olabiyi commended the state government for ensuring the prompt payment of workers' salaries. However, a former chairman of the TUC in the state, Comrade Andrew Emelieze lamented that the government at all levels had dashed the hopes of workers with empty promises and ''packaging'', adding'' the tone of the celebration is an indication that worker...

Indifference to Cries of the People

Image
The leaders of certain nations have become wealthy.  Thoughts of their affluence has overshadowed their passion for the well-being of millions of citizens-who desire that the prosperity of the nations be shared. Sadly, the leaders are indifferent to the lamentations of the people. Indeed, the leaders exude misplaced confidence. Amos 6: 1-14                                                                            1 Woe to them  that are  at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria,  which are  named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came! 2 Pass ye unto Calneh, and see; and from thence go ye to Hamath the great: then go down to Gath of the Philistines:  be they  better than these kingdoms? or their border greater than your border? 3...

Government has devalued the lives of poor Nigerians

Image
The lives of millions of poor Nigerians have continued to deteriorate without reprieve as a result of the people-unfriendly policies of the present administrations at the center and in the states. This view was expressed by a former chairman of the Oyo state council of the Trade Union Congress(TUC), Comrade Andrew Emelieze. ''The removal of the fuel subsidy by the government at the onset of this dispensation has brought about hunger and hardships for millions of poor Nigerians. The government increased electricity tariffs when millions of Nigerians are still paying for darkness. Presently the Premium Motor Spirit is in short supply and Nigerians are passing through heart-rendering experiences to make ends meet, while certain individuals in the labor unions are busy feathering their own nests. The government at all levels have devalued the lives of Nigerians.  The present situation is a bad omen for the government,'' Comrade Emelieze stated.

Outward Ceremonials of Religion

Image
When seeking justice and righteousness, we should act correctly towards the needy and oppressed. Outward ceremonials of religion cannot cover up for transgressions. Amos 5:16-27 God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph. 16 Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing  shall be  in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing. 17 And in all vineyards  shall be  wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD. 18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end  is  it for you? the day of the LORD  is  darkness, and not light. 19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him. 20 Shall  not the day of the LORD  be  darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it? 2...

Tips with Mrs Hannah Adefunke Mujakperuo

Image
Girls in Nigeria have numerous challenges to contend with.  Poverty, peer pressure, early marriage, unwanted pregnancy, negligence, rape, ignorance, lack of parental care.  The list is endless. Even though leaders at all levels have made noticeable efforts to give girls a future, a lot still has to be done, in terms of guidance, legislation, interventions, funding and monitoring. For parents and guardians-''Ensure you groom your children and wards in the proper way, so that they will not soil your name. For society-''Do not cover up wrong deeds, rather expose the same for the uplifting of society For the Places of Worship-'' Preach and teach the girls all that will mold them to be God-fearing, responsible, reliable and dependable. Mrs Mujakperuo holds a master's degree in Security Studies and is also a doctoral student.

The Guilty

Image
The way the leaders of some nations have set for themselves is indeed a path to destruction. The future seems bleak because the rich and powerful are becoming more prosperous and pretend not to realize that they have attained their positions by unjust means.  They are guilty. God is desirous for them to live, on the condition that they change their ways and seek justice. Their social immorality and injustice are the barriers between themselves and their creator. Amos 5:1-15 Hear ye this word which I take up against you,  even  a lamentation, O house of Israel. 2 The virgin of Israel is fallen; she shall no more rise: she is forsaken upon her land;  there is  none to raise her up. 3 For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out  by  a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth  by  an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel. 4 For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live: ...
