This declaration was made on Thursday by the personal assistant to the late Ezendigbo  of Ibadan and Oyo state, Eze(Dr.)Alex Anozie, Mr. Samuel Ulelu ''We don' have any new  president, we don't know the person claiming to be the new president. They formed a political group to distract people from the reality in Ibadan and Oyo state. Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide in Oyo state, is led by the president, Chief Emmanuel Nzeakor. So, any other person parading himselfg is taking a risk and doing so at his own peril. They only formed the group to deceive people and not to better the lives of the  Igbo community in the state.''   The Onyendu Ndigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, High Chief Alloy Obi, has described the late President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuayanwu, as an amazing leader who worked very hard to transform the socio-cultural association. High Chief Obi stated this in a press statement titled, AN IROKO AT THE HEART OF IGBO NATION HAS FALLEN.  ''Ndigbo in Oyo state were saddened and have not come to terms with the shocking and sudden transition of an Iroko, an icon, an entrepreneur of international repute, a tested politician, a pillar of sports, a philanthropist, and above all, the President General, Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide, Chief Emmanuel Iwuayanwu (Ahaejiagamba). Ndigbo felt the transformational impact of his 15 months on the saddle of Ohaneze Ndigbo leadership. He was simply amazing. Ndigbo has recorded an irreparable loss at a time that was at its peak of repositioning Ohaeze Ndigbo to an enviable height among other socio-cultural organizations in the country....

Mind your Utterances-Onyendu to Splinter Igbo group in Oyo

Image
The Onyendu Ndigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state High Chief Alloy Obi has cautioned a splinter Igbo group led by one Chief Emmanuel Nezakor to desist from making inflammatory statements that could breach the peace among Igbos in Oyo state. Chief Obi gave this warning on Wednesday in a chat with The New Federation. ''They are free to express their opinions, but they should mind their utterances. If they are dissatisfied by the judgment of the Appeal court, they know what to do, they should consult with their lawyer. They should not attempt to breach the prevailing peace in the Igbo community in Oyo state. I am not forcing them to support me. I have tried my best as a man. They should not provoke us. How can Chief Emmanuel Nzeakor say he is representing their legal team? When he is not a lawyer, in fact, it is a shame for they claim that they were not aware of the judgment date. It is in their best interest to stop making noise. However, I am happy that in their press conference, they ...
