Numbers of Nigerian youths have all this while perceiving criminality as a dependable and reliable means to an end, since they are products of sucessive leadership that vigorously promote all acts of crime and criminality as ways of life. Indeed, an unspecified number of these youths are now ready tools in the hands of the political class on issues relating to all that the laws of the land frowns at. In this message to the youths, on the occasion of the World Youths Skills Day(an annual event of the United Nations) on 15th July 2023, he Ezendigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, Eze(Dr.) Alex Anozie. The provision of the appropriate, policices, programs, services and information that supports children and youth development has been recommended for the grooming of the future generation. This recommendation was given on Saturday by the Founder, Spiritual Head and Grand Imam of Shafaudeen-in-Islam Worldwide, Prof. Sabitu Olagoke at the opening ceremony and Inter-House Sports of Shafaudeen Group of Schools in Ibadan,, Oyo state, Nigeria. In his address titled, ;; Child Rearing and Wellness for Growth and Development, Prof. Olagoke stated : ''Appropriate policies, programs, services and information that focus on nurturing care are, therefore, needed to build an environment in which children and young people can thrive. So,the way parents nurture and the way government as well as other stakeholders support children and the youth constitute one of the most critical factors for their health, growth and development.''

It is very disturbing that the lack of scale and coherence feature prominently in most of the initiatives to address the youth empowerment challenge in Nigeria. The population of youths who are gainfully employed in the critical economic and social sectors is very discouraging. Indeed, a sizable number of the population do not possess relevant digital skills to fit into these sectors. Indeed, a lot still has to be done to the psyche, value and attitude of the youths in this clime, to enable them to have access to decent work and productive employment. The government at all levels have, over the years, failed to equip young Nigerians with globally sought-after skills to ensure that they are useful not only to themselves, but also to society. In the absence of the interventions of the government and the Organized Private Sector(OPS), the youths have now embraced lawlessness, crime and all forms of criminality as credible means to ends and the political class are taking full advantage ...

Nigerian youths who have benefitted from the government at all levels have been advised to give back to their communities that groomed them. This advice was given on Wednesday by the Executive Chairman of Ibarapa Central Local Government of Oyo state, Hon. Doyin Adeoye at a public function in Ibadan, Nigeria. ''My advice to Nigerian youths who have benefitted from government at all levels is for them to give back to the communities that brought them up. But it should be outside crime and criminality. They should replicate the benefits of serving government at all levels in their communities,'' Hon. Adeoye advised.

The Nigeria Police Force has called on Nigerians to be conscious of happenings in their immediate environment and re-orientate the youth to have a positive focus. This call was made by a Chief Superintendent of Police(CSP), Usman Sharafadeen, who represented the Oyo State Commissioner of Police at a conference organized by Shafaudeen-in-Islam Worldwide in collaboration with the Center for Religious Cooperation(CRCT)in Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria.
