Renewal of Spirit of the mind

The agony that sin brings into our lives is enormous and had numbing effect. It deadens our senses of touch with God and enables us to live without awareness of the ‘’injury and infection’’ that slowly damages our soul. Sin produces numbness in our spirit. In other words, we can actually be hurting-yet feel no pain. Let us pray for the Lord to give us a healthy hatred of sin. If we feel no pain when we sin, we are worse off than we realize. Read Ephesians 4:17-24 The Legacy The signs are ominous and noticeable everywhere, those-in-charge at all levels of government are about to leave behind a legacy revolving around 1) Ignorance 2) Illiteracy 3) Indiscipline 4) Lawlessness 5) Criminality 6) Immorality 7) Profanity 8) Evil Violent crimes are now part of daily living. When seeking justice and righteousness, we should act correctly towards the needy and oppressed. Outward ceremonials of religion cannot cover up for transgressions.

Amos 5:16-27

God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.

16Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing.

17And in all vineyards shall be wailing: for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.

18Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.

19As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.

20Shall not the day of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

21I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell in your solemn assemblies.

22Though ye offer me burnt offerings and your meat offerings, I will not accept them: neither will I regard the peace offerings of your fat beasts.

23Take thou away from me the noise of thy songs; for I will not hear the melody of thy viols.

24But let judgment run down as waters, and righteousness as a mighty stream.

25Have ye offered unto me sacrifices and offerings in the wilderness forty years, O house of Israel?

26But ye have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch and Chiun your images, the star of your god, which ye made to yourselves.

27Therefore will I cause you to go into captivity beyond Damascus, saith the LORD, whose name is The God of hosts.

The Message

 When Jesus Christ was about to conclude His sermon on the Mount, He told a story about two personalities who built houses, one on a rock and the other on sand. His aim was for His listeners to realize that those who heard His message and went away without putting it to practice were foolish. Jesus Christ expects us to take action on His message. Do we always practice the sermons we have heard? A sermon is not complete until it is put to practice. Read Matthew 7:24-29 Desperation to Cling to Transient Power  Those-in-Charge do not respect the people’s views, rather the leaders impose their self-driven agenda on the people.
