Don't Contest for Second Term-Cleric to President

Image
President Ahmed Tinubu has been advised not to run for a second term in office in 2027 as Nigeria President. The President and Founder of Clear Revelation Ministry, Apostle Jeremiah Oluwarotimi Adeyeye gave this advice on Wednesday during a Press Conference at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Oyo state council, Ibadan, Nigeria. ''1) God's message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also some advice to him, God a showed me that he did not finish in office, if he is lucky to finish this tenure as God revealed, he should not clamor to contest for a second term because God's word always stands. He should go back home to atone for all what he has done and seek the face of the almighty God, but if he insists on going for a second term, after luckily finishing this term, that means that what he luckily escaped in his first term in office will surely happen during the second term. God's word always stands.'' Apostle Adeyeye stated.  Similarly, the man of God al...

The door of faith

Image
Let us pray for minorities who are vulnerable in a hostile environment—that they will know the ultimate security of faith.    Read Acts 14:21-28.   The Local Scene It is very sad and disturbing to note that up to this moment, there is yet to be a convincing improvement in the well-being of millions of Nigerians. The economic policy thrust of the present administration deliberately prevents citizens from accessing the basic necessities of life without hindrance. Indeed, Nigerians are yet to be empowered to be more economically productive, while their quality of life has rapidly deteriorated. Sadly, the measures taken by those in charge to reduce the incidence of poverty, for now, are of no significant impact on the lives of the downtrodden people. However, the increase in domestic and foreign debts are setbacks that have negatively affected the country's economy. Of worry is the absence of prudence, transparency, and accountability in the government's expendi...

Dividends of Democracy— proposed London News Briefing Wasteful—Federal Workers

Image
Federal workers in Nigeria have described the decision of the federal government to showcase its achievements in the last 24 months in Great Britain during this period when millions of Nigerians are complaining of hunger and poverty as insensitive and embarrassing. The workers made this known through the National Coordinator of the Federal Workersm (FWF), Comrade Andrew Emelieze. ''The ministers appointed by the present political leadership in Nigeria are in the process of rolling out the achievements of those in charge in London, while millions of Nigerians are busy contending with hunger, economic hardships, and poverty. This overseas trip is at what cost to taxpayers? It is wasteful. This is very insensitive, callous, and embarrassing. The wind of greed and covetousness has overwhelmed those in the present administration and has become not only a burden but also a liability to millions of Nigerians. Comrade Emelieze stated. The Local Scene It is surprising that the powe...

Attract for the Lord

Image
We are hopeful that the church and its ministers will direct believers to God, who saves, and not to themselves. Resist the temptation to attract believers for self-centered reasons in religious life. Attract for only the Lord. Read Acts 14:8-20. The Local Scene The poor management of the enormous human and material resources in Nigeria has constituted a disturbing developmental setback in these perilous times. The approach in addressing the multifarious challenges will, without doubt, serve as a determinant of the country's development characteristics in the years in view. Indeed, policy defects have, to a large extent, scared off foreign direct investment, regardless of the very large domestic market. Sadly, the organized private sector is now so weak that most stakeholders now engage in distributive activities. A preserve for the informal sector. The economic direction of those in charge ought to be guided by the prevailing situation and also the lessons of experience.
