Worship

Image
The worship of God enables humankind to understand the real significance of their lives in the light of the majesty of God. It is also an expression of the value of God to us and the world in which we live. Psalm 24 1 (A Psalm of David.) The earth  is  the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. 3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? 4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. 5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. 6 This  is  the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah. 7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. 8 Who  is  this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD might...

The First Republic in Nigeria

In the first republic, from 1st October, 1960 to 15th January, 1966, Dr. Nnamid Azikiwe was the President while Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa was the Prime Minister. During this era, a national census was conducted, but the results were fraught with irregularities, just as Nigerians expressed dissatisfaction with the process. This among other issues snowballed into major challenges for the country. Corruption among the political office holders was the order of the day and rivalry to gain upper hand characterized the activities of the political class. The federal elections of 1964 was anything but free and fair, even as the National Councilof Nigeria and Cameroons(NCNC) and the Action Group(AG) declined to participated in the elections in some parts of the country. In the midst of growing distrust and suspicion, the outcome of the election created a constitutional crisis between the President and the Prime Minister. Indeed, a cross section of the  political class today, may have ...

This charge was given on Sunday by Pastor Kayode Oladeji of the Peculiar People International Christian Center, Mokola, Ibadan, Nigeria. Pastor Oladimeji listed the six hindrances to include-1)Lack of knowledge(Ignorance). 2)Wrong motives and intentions. 3)Worries and Anxieties. 4)Deliberate sin and Disobedience. 5) Offenses and the absence of forgiveness.  6) Lack of Gratitude.
