Education-Gov Makinde has provided an enabling environment for teachers-Oyo NUT Chairman

  As parents and guardians continue to worry over the disturbing performance of their children and wards in both public and private primary and secondary schools in Oyo state,  in addition to the increasing cases of deviant behavior and illicit drug use, the chairman of the Oyo state council of the Nigeria Union of Teachers(NUT), Comrade Raji Oladimeji opines that the state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde has provided a conducive environment for teachers to thrive in the state. Excerpts: How would you assess the outgoing 2024/2025 academic session in public and private primary and secondary schools in Oyo state? The worship of God enables humankind to understand the real significance of their lives in the light of the majesty of God. It is also an expression of the value of God to us and the world in which we live.

Psalm 24

1(A Psalm of David.) The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

3Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?

4He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

5He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

6This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

7Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

8Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.

9Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

10Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Lawmakers in both chambers of the National Assembly and the State Houses of Assembly have long ceased to represent the electorate in Nigeria. This assertion was made by the convener of the Federal Workers Forum, Comrade Andrew Emelieze. ''For some years now, the elected representatives of Nigerians in both chambers of the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly have stopped representing the people. Oyo Government not taking our welfare seriously-Health Workers

  Some health workers in Oyo state have expressed reservations over the continued delay of the state government to meet their demands. The health workers, who are members of the Nigeria Union of Allied Health Professionals(NUAHP), Hospital Management Board unit, lamented that the state government ''is not taking our welfare seriously.'' ''The state government has continued to treat health workers on its payroll with levity. We are not happy about this, the government should urgently address our demands, they stated. However, the chairman of the unit, Comrade Olanrewaju Ajani disclosed that of all the demands of the health workers, the state government had only reviewed the hazard allowance.
