Nigerian Prisons are No longer Correctional Cneters-Comrade Emelieze
A former chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) in Oyo state and also the National Coordinator of the All Workers Convergence(AWC) Comrade Andrew Emelieze was remanded in the Agodi Correctional Center, Ibadan, Nigeria by a Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan, Nigeria. Comrade Emelieze was arraigned by the Department of State Services (DSS) in the Federal High Court, on a four-count charge of alleged injurious statement against the Federal Government, threat to protest at Aos Rock and failing to honor the DSS invitation. Comrade Emelieze who spent six days in the center, narrates his experience.
