Our Beliefs

Image
Our beliefs should not revolve around doubts and uncertainty  John 20:24-29 24And they which were sent were of the Pharisees. 25And they asked him, and said unto him, Why baptizest thou then, if thou be not that Christ, nor Elias, neither that prophet? 26John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; 27He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose. 28These things were done in Bethabara beyond Jordan, where John was baptizing. 29The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Let God be Magnified

Image
Even though the poor go hungry, their faith that God will vindicate them remains unshaken-the source of their salvation and even of life. Psalm 70 (To the chief Musician,  A Psalm  of David, to bring to remembrance.)  Make haste , O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD. 2 Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt. 3 Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha. 4 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified. 5 But I  am  poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou  art  my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

Embrace Peace Chief Alloy Obi to Igbos In Oyo state

Image
The Onyendu Ndigbo of Ibadan and Oyo state, High Chief Alloy Obi has called on the Igbo community in Oyo state to embrace peace as a step towards an enduring democracy.  High Chief Obi made this call on Thursday while addressing the issues surrounding the Ibadan Division of the Appeal Court's Judgment, in a Press Conference in Ibadan, Nigeria.  ''My victory at the Court of Appeal is not just for me as a person, the Appeal court case lasted for  ten eyars. I would have given it up, if it were just about me as a person. I remained in the struggle in the last ten years beacuse of the implication  on Ohaneze Ndigbo worldwide, South East Council of Traditional Rulers and Igbo extraction all over the world. I hereby use this medium to call on those who are still in opposition to sheath their sword because it is time for enduring peace and togetherness among Ndigbo in Oyo state. I promise to be a good and impartial father to Ndigbo and Igbo groups in Oyo state. On my...

Peace with God

Image
Let us pray for the peace of Christ to enfold and change us.  Romans 5:1-11 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only  so , but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. 10 For if, when we were enemies, we were recon...

Trust in God

Image
We should always trust in God in the face of fear, pain and other life-threatening situations. Hosea 11:1-4 When Israel  was  a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt. 2 As  they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images. 3 I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them. 4 I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them.

Hearts of Stone

Image
Let us pray ceaselessly for those whose attitude is reminiscent of the hard-hearted Pharaoh of Egypt, for God to positively impact on their lives. Mark 3:1-6 1 And he entered again into the synagogue; and there was a man there which had a withered hand. 2 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him. 3 And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand,  Stand forth. 4 And he saith unto them,  Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill?  But they held their peace. 5 And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man,  Stretch forth thine hand.  And he stretched  it  out: and his hand was restored whole as the other. 6 And the Pharisees went forth, and straightway took counsel with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.

Millions of Nigerians are Hungry and Mourning-Comrade Emelieze

Image
The present democratic dispensation has brought in its stride hunger and mourning. This assertion was made by the former chairman of the Oyo state council of the Trade Union Congress(TUC), Comrade Andrew Emelieze. ''Millions of Nigerians are hungry, starving and mourning. There has been a situation of mass killings across the federation. The democracy we thought would bring progress and development has brought nothing other than denial and frustration. Nigerians are not happy,''Comrade Emelieze lamented.

God is the real face of Hope

Image
God is fully aware of the sufferings of millions of of His creation. He is not just sitting by unmoved. He is our God of compassion, faithfulness and mercy. Lamentations 3: 18-33 18 And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD: 19 Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. 20 My soul hath  them  still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. 21 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. 22 It is of  the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. 23 They are  new every morning: great  is  thy faithfulness. 24 The LORD  is  my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 25 The LORD  is  good unto them that wait for him, to the soul  that  seeketh him. 26 It is  good that  a man  should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. 27 It is  good for a man that he bear the yoke in his youth. 28 He sitteth alone ...

Tips for Girls and Boys with Mrs. Hannah Adefunke Mujakperuo

Truthfulness and integrity Teaching children truthfulness and integrity is crucial for their success.  It involves a child's ability to act in line with their values and moral principles.  Integrity encompasses virtues like honesty, courage, honor, respect, responsibility, restraint, and authenticity.  Despite societal pressures, children deserve a world that values truth, honesty, and justice. Families are the primary teachers of truthfulness and integrity.  Success is not solely determined by academic or extracurricular achievements. The development of your children and wards is not complete without inculcating in them truthfulness and integrity. Ensure that you persistently emphasize that truthfulness and integrity revolve around trustworthiness, discipline, honesty, faithfulness, honor and the fulfillment of promises made. These are necessary attributes of future leaders. For society to continue to experience stability and cohesion, the above-mentioned thi...

The Unfavorable Human Conditions

Image
Let us continue to pray for God's intervention in the lives of millions presently confronted with unfavorable human conditions as a result of bad leadership in certain countries of the world. Lamentations 3:1-9 1 I  am  the man  that  hath seen affliction by the rod of his wrath. 2 He hath led me, and brought  me into  darkness, but not  into  light. 3 Surely against me is he turned; he turneth his hand  against me  all the day. 4 My flesh and my skin hath he made old; he hath broken my bones. 5 He hath builded against me, and compassed  me  with gall and travail. 6 He hath set me in dark places, as  they that be  dead of old. 7 He hath hedged me about, that I cannot get out: he hath made my chain heavy. 8 Also when I cry and shout, he shutteth out my prayer. 9 He hath inclosed my ways with hewn stone, he hath made my paths crooked.

Comfort in God

Image
God's loving care revolves around great joy and celebration in the sustenance of children with an abundance of milk. Isaiah 66:5-13 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. 6 A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies. 7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child. 8 Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day?  or  shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children. 9 Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut  the womb ? saith thy God. 10 Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye ...

God's Understanding

Image
God as a different understanding of how we should relate with our fellow human beings. Isaiah 49:13-23 13 Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. 14 But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. 15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. 16 Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of  my  hands; thy walls  are  continually before me. 17 Thy children shall make haste; thy destroyers and they that made thee waste shall go forth of thee. 18 Lift up thine eyes round about, and behold: all these gather themselves together,  and  come to thee.  As  I live, saith the LORD, thou shalt surely clothe thee with them all, as with an ornament, and bind them  on thee , as a bride  doeth . 19 For ...

Glory to the Lord

Image
The manifestation of God goes beyond human values and convention. 1 Corinthians 1:25-31 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble,  are called : 27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen,  yea , and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth,...
