Forgiveness

  Invest in this content Our God is very unpredictable. We are sinful and He is holy. Sin can no more exist in the presence of God than darkness can exist in the presence of light. To stand before Him in sin is to invite destruction. If God were to keep a record of our sins, we could not stand in His presence. God is honored and worshiped because He alone can clear our record. If God could not forgive us, we could only flee from Him in terror. Yet the God holiness threatens us is the God who through Christ redeems us. Our unpredictable God offers forgiveness for all our sins. Sins invites judgment; confession ensures forgiveness. We need only to ask for it. Are you forgiven? Our love for God

The love for God is an indication that we always do what He wants. God wants us to love and respect each other and also to live together in peace.
But, unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case in this clime. However, an Ibadan-based Christian cleric, Pastor Opeyemi Ajayi, appeals to leaders and followers to love God in order to enable the fizzling out of the disturbing security, political, and economic situation everywhere. ''Our love for God should not wane or decline, as the love for God is the basis for addressing all challenges confronting humanity.'' Pastor Ajayi concluded. Read Deuteronomy 5: 16-21

The Message

 When Jesus Christ was about to conclude His sermon on the Mount, He told a story about two personalities who built houses, one on a rock and the other on sand. His aim was for His listeners to realize that those who heard His message and went away without putting it to practice were foolish. Jesus Christ expects us to take action on His message. Do we always practice the sermons we have heard? A sermon is not complete until it is put to practice.
