 When Jesus Christ was about to conclude His sermon on the Mount, He told a story about two personalities who built houses, one on a rock and the other on sand. His aim was for His listeners to realize that those who heard His message and went away without putting it to practice were foolish. Jesus Christ expects us to take action on His message. Do we always practice the sermons we have heard? A sermon is not complete until it is put to practice. Read Matthew 7:24-29 Desperation to Cling to Transient Power  Those-in-Charge do not respect the people’s views, rather the leaders impose their self-driven agenda on the people. They take from the poor to enrich themselves. This is not the promise they made. Of great worry, is the naked fact that they are now very desperate to cling to transient power. The True Vine


 There is no distinction between the vine and its branches. From the moment it emerges from the soil, the vine begins to spread.

It is its branch.

To belong to Jesus Christ is to be part of the true vine.

For this reason, we can pray in complete confidence, because when our wills are united with his, we will pray as part of the living vine.

The image of Jesus Christ is all about growth, which happens organically, from within the very substance of the vine.

Nourished by the sun, by rain and chemicals which feed it from the soil in which it is planted, the vine forces its way into the light.

We have here an image of growth which gives us a powerful understanding of what it means to belong to Jesus Christ
