WAEC Exams Forms for the Indigent

The national office of the West African Examinations Council(WAEC) has announced the commencement of the sale of its examination forms for private candidates in Nigeria.

The forms cost N27,500, bank charges inclusive.

Parents and guardians are not only confused, but also worried about how to access the funds to obtain the forms for their children and wards.

The government at all levels are presently focused on the expenditure in view for the education sector with regard to this year's budgetary allocation.

Sadly, the discussion is not on how indigent students will access funds to pay for the examination forms.

Nigerians are of the belief that those in government are yet to make any convincing impact on the education sector.

This argument is given flesh by the large number of pupils, students and others at all levels of education, who have dropped out as a result of financial challenges.

Of great worry, is the large army of miscreants on the monthly payroll of those in government.
