A good leader takes responsibility

  Invest in this content  It takes an individual with divine courage to stand up in a crowd and take responsibility for wrongdoing while simultaneously make moves to correct the wrongdoing. A good example of such a leader is Ezra. He confronted the way and identified with the people, confessing the sin. The people will confidently and voluntarily follow leaders, who are willing and ready to take responsibility even in very bad situations. A good leader knows the way, shows the way and goes the way. Prisoners of Debt

People are uncomfortable with language, which suggests hierarchies and power relationships. However, we are happier with the language of equality.

None of us is entirely happy with the thought of being a prisoner of a servant.

These are words which have few honorable associations with us.

 So what is the mystery which Christ proclaims ?

It is precisely the liberty we most desire, a liberty which is a mystery or infinite treasure because it makes us all members of the body of Christ.

In Christ, we are offered the true equality of belonging.

These days it is very difficult for people to feel that they belong to anything.

We are deeply scarred by the kinds of greed or apathy which set whole communities against each other.

Let us pray for global healing between nations which have made servants of each other and prisoners of debt; let us pray for world unity.

The Message

 When Jesus Christ was about to conclude His sermon on the Mount, He told a story about two personalities who built houses, one on a rock and the other on sand. His aim was for His listeners to realize that those who heard His message and went away without putting it to practice were foolish. Jesus Christ expects us to take action on His message. Do we always practice the sermons we have heard? A sermon is not complete until it is put to practice.
