God Pardons

Our response ought to be to God's faithfulness rather than to impulse; for a credible evaluation of the contents of our spiritual intake.

Let us endeavor to read God's Word.

This will enable us to achieve fulfillment in life.

We must be conversant with the fact that all things of time and space are temporal and not everlasting.

Let us keep our eyes on Jesus Christ, this will then bring every other thing into focus.

Read Isaiah 55:1-11

The Drift

The resolve of the elderly people in Kano state to unite against the deteriorating moral standards and resort to various forms of criminality as means to an end is commendable and a step in the right direction.

Interestingly, the elders in different parts of the country are daily witnesses to the surge in the unreported cases of child prostitution, pedophilia, sodomy, homosexuality, prostitution, defilement, rape, pickpocketing, phone snatching, drug addiction among other crimes.

However, it is disturbing that parents and guardians are complicit in all these.

It is not surprising that immorality has become an integral part of the education curriculum.

Watch the teachers and other stakeholders. What do you notice?

Perhaps, the challenges could be traced to the morally bankrupt leadership at all levels of government, considering the narrative that some hoodlums, who facilitated the emergence of a number of political office holders, are either all in prison, or serving various terms or awaiting trial.

The hope is that elders across the country will do the necessary to stem the ugly tide.

The numerous challenges outlined above, revolve around the increasing number of illiterates in society and positions of leadership.

Indeed, millions of Nigerians have been dehumanized and manipulated the present crop of leadership at all levels.
