The Culture of Hard Drugs

The culture of the sale and use of hard drugs is now the order of the day in several communities in Nigeria.

The lives of a sizable number of young people in the country now hang in the balance as they vigorously embrace the culture.

Education is no longer the destination, as violent crimes with prospects of riches increase on a daily basis.

The culture is now practiced in the open and those involved surprisingly exhibit boldness and confidence. Why?

Respected members of communities covertly support the trade.

At 6, Kehinde Aderibigbe street, Olorunsogo, Molete, Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria, the sellers of the outlawed substances, use the grinding of pepper and tomatoes as a smokescreen.

Sadly, law enforcement agencies which benefit immensely from the drug trade are morally handicapped to eradicate it from communities.
