A good leader takes responsibility

  Invest in this content  It takes an individual with divine courage to stand up in a crowd and take responsibility for wrongdoing while simultaneously make moves to correct the wrongdoing. A good example of such a leader is Ezra. He confronted the way and identified with the people, confessing the sin. Our certificate is a reward for hard work-UI VC


The Vice-chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Kayode Adebowale had disclosed that the university out its certificate as a reward for vigorous academic work.

Prof. Adebowale made this disclosure on Tuesday, the first day of the foundation anniversary and 2023 convocation ceremonies in Ibadan, Oyo state, Nigeria.

''The University of Ibadan is committed to academic excellence, and this makes it fly. We are confronted with brain drain, student attrition, and electricity problems. However, there is a need for the government to recognize the uniqueness of the university system. The certificate is not one that can be obtained on a platter, it is a reward for hard work,'' Prof. Adebowale stated.

 When Jesus Christ was about to conclude His sermon on the Mount, He told a story about two personalities who built houses, one on a rock and the other on sand. His aim was for His listeners to realize that those who heard His message and went away without putting it to practice were foolish. Jesus Christ expects us to take action on His message. Do we always practice the sermons we have heard? A sermon is not complete until it is put to practice.
